As a Field Service Engineer within the National Service Team, you will be responsible for providing high quality field based technical expertise at customers' sites across the country. You will be responsible for installation, calibration, fault finding, training and fixing customer equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out repairs, on site commissioning, service and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment to the stated processes and procedures, which will also include where required the provision of on-site customer training.
- Carry out upgrades and refurbishments on customer site.
- Handle on site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
- Must be prepared to adapt to all types of environments and comply with local client's health and safety regulations.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with the company procedures.
- Expected to co-operate by working overtime as and when required.
- Be part of the on-call standby rota system as required.
- Must be prepared to learn a diverse set of products and continually improve your product knowledge.
- Provide technical support via phone and email where required.
Position Requirements:
- Good Technical Electrical / Electronics skills.
- Minimum BTEC/ONC/HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical / electrical engineering.
- Ideally experience in a field service role and familiar with all aspects of customer service including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
- PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware an advantage.
- Good PC literacy.
- Good Organisation skills orientated around reliably delivering what is promised.
- Good methodical approach to problem solving.
- Full current driving licence.
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Flexibility will be required to work overtime and stay away overnight occasionally.
