We're looking for a talented freelance Motion Designer to work with us at Lola's! Lola's is a London-based bakery brand with a strong online business and a growing number of stores across the UK. As we continue our expansion plans, we're looking to elevate the motion content across our digital screens and customer touchpoints.

This is a remote freelance opportunity, initially focused on a specific project, with the potential for an ongoing relationship on future campaigns and launches.

What we're looking for:

  • Someone who can combine strong motion skills with a solid graphic design background.
  • We need someone who understands branding, typography, layout and visual storytelling, and can bring static assets to life in a fun, engaging and premium way.

You’ll be working with:

  • Existing Lola's photography, illustrations and brand assets
  • In-store digital screens and promotional content
  • Short-form animations, GIFs and motion graphics
  • Campaign launches, seasonal activity and brand moments

The ideal person will:

  • Have a strong portfolio of motion design work
  • Be highly confident in After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Have a great eye for layout, typography and branding
  • Be able to take a brief and run with it creatively
  • Present ideas and concepts, not just execute instructions
  • Feel comfortable working independently and remotely

The opportunity:

Our first project will focus on creating digital screens and motion assets for Lola's upcoming 20th Birthday celebrations. Beyond this, we'd love to work with the right person to help evolve and elevate the creative style of our in-store digital screens, as well as support future product launches, seasonal campaigns and other exciting brand projects throughout the year.

While this isn't a full-time role, we're hoping to build a long-term freelance relationship with someone who understands the Lola's brand and can become an extension of our creative team when projects arise.

How to apply:

Please send your CV, your portfolio, and examples of relevant motion/animation/design work along with a brief explanation of your role within those projects. Selected candidates will be invited for an introductory video call so we can learn more about you, share more about Lola's and discuss how we could work together. Apply via LinkedIn message. If LinkedIn doesn't allow you to send your portfolio or supporting materials, please email me directly.

If this sounds like your kind of project, we'd love to hear from you!
