About Us
At Lola’s, we’re here for all of life’s special moments with our handmade cakes, cupcakes, brownies and more. We started back in 2006 when two friends turned their love of baking into a business. Since then, Lola’s has grown to over 400 employees, 40 retail outlets, and a thriving e-commerce site with nationwide delivery. Even as we’ve grown, our ethos hasn’t changed: we use only the best ingredients and bake fresh every single day.
Now, we’re looking for a Visual / Digital Designer to help bring our brand to life online from beautiful website assets to scroll-stopping marketing content.
The Role
You’ll be the creative engine behind how Lola’s looks and feels across our digital channels. From homepage banners and landing pages to email campaigns, social assets and seasonal launches, you’ll design content that’s as appetising as the cakes themselves. This isn’t a UX role, but you’ll work closely with our UX Designer to make sure the visual layer of every customer journey is on-brand, considered and consistent. You’ll partner day-to-day with the Marketing and E-Commerce teams to turn briefs into beautifully crafted assets that drive engagement, conversion and brand love.
If you have a sharp eye for typography, layout and photography, love working on brands with personality, and get a kick out of seeing your work go live in front of thousands of customers this one’s for you.
What You’ll Do
- Design website assets, homepage banners, landing pages, promotional modules, product page imagery and seasonal campaign pages
- Create marketing content across email, social, paid media and CRM, ensuring every touchpoint feels unmistakably Lola’s
- Partner with the UX Designer to apply visual polish to user journeys and contribute to our design system
- Concept and produce content for new product launches, seasonal moments and brand campaigns
- Edit and retouch product photography, and brief/art-direct shoots where needed
- Work with marketers and the print design team to bring campaign ideas to life visually
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital channels, championing our visual identity
- Collaborate with developers to make sure designs are built and delivered to a high standard
- Keep an eye on design trends, tools and competitor activity to bring fresh thinking to the team
About You
- 2–4 years in a visual, digital or graphic design role, ideally with e-commerce or consumer brand experience
- A strong portfolio showing digital marketing assets, web design and campaign work (not just static brand work)
- Confident in Figma, added plus would be the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong typography, layout and composition skills with a great eye for detail
- Comfortable working to a brand identity and contributing to its evolution
- Able to juggle multiple briefs and turn things around to tight deadlines
- A collaborative mindset, you enjoy working alongside marketers, UX, developers and ecom teams
- Bonus points for motion design, basic video editing, or experience designing for email (Klaviyo, Mailchimp etc.)
- Passion for food, lifestyle or premium consumer brands is a big plus
Why Join Us
- Shape the visual identity of a much-loved British brand as it continues to grow
- See your work used by thousands of customers every day across our website, emails and socials
- Work alongside a friendly, collaborative team where ideas are welcomed
- And of course, enjoy plenty of cake along the way
- Hybrid working, with our office based in NW10 London
Perks & Benefits
- Birthday cake on your birthday, courtesy of the bakery
- Me Day- a paid day off for a special personal moment
- Enhanced sick pay
- Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
- Free weekly cupcake or cake allowance
- Paid birthday off
- £1,000 training & development budget each year (£500 in your first year after probation)
