Under new ownership, Lola is committed to pushing innovation in engineering and as part of this commitment, Lola intends to release the IP back into the ecosystems and develop products that have far reaching impacts beyond motorsports.
The Opportunity:
A fabulous opportunity for an Archivist to join the growing team at Lola as we continue to evolve. The heritage of Lola is well evident, and a great project has been undertaken and successfully completed to manage the Lola archive building a database and making it accessible - collecting, preserving, organising, cataloguing and indexing the large amount of information. The abundance of information including hand drawn blueprints is massively important, super interesting, and valuable for many reasons. Many thousands of historical documents exist detailing Lola’s journey and story. A priority project for Lola is to continue to access the archive. Support queries and drive a revenue stream.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to respond to internal and external enquiries, using the Lola archive.
- Oversee the relocation of the Lola archive to the new Lola facility.
- Manage the Lola Technical Archive sales process.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to create and launch archive-based products and services.
- Enhance and protect the Lola brand by ensuring all heritage products and services are delivered to the highest standards.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with third-party service providers to support key archive operations.
- Prepare, manage, and present archive budgets, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Appraise and catalogue remaining uncatalogued sections of the archive, prioritising work according to business needs and available resources.

- Some experience working with database management is desirable.
- An interest in history and the management of such information.
- A research interest in, and understanding of, engineering/motorsport.
The Successful Candidate might be:
- A mechanical engineer studying for a degree or a recent graduate.
- A professional archivist with an interest in motorsport.
- A museum curator ready to embark on a new challenge
Role Location & Hours:
