My client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their expanding sales team. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and selling the company's ocean freight, air freight and European road freight services, alongside their market-leading technology, including an automated customs clearance and shipment tracking platform.
This role is ideal for a proven freight forwarding sales professional with a strong track record of winning new business and selling multimodal freight solutions. What sets this company apart is its outstanding operational support. Their experienced Key Account Management team delivers exceptional customer service, ensuring excellent client retention and allowing the sales team to focus on generating new business. They also benefit from highly competitive contract rates and strong carrier relationships, providing excellent pricing and space allocation across both ocean and air freight.
The successful candidate will be proactive in generating new opportunities, consistently booking appointments and meeting with a minimum of five prospective clients per week. When not attending customer meetings, you will be based in the office working on business development activities, lead generation and account management.
Package:
- Salary up to £55,000 (depending on experience)
- £6,000 car allowance
- 10% lifetime commission on all accounts won (with the opportunity to increase the commission percentage in exchange for a lower basic salary)
- 28 days' annual leave, plus 2 wellness days
- Pension scheme
