We are hiring an experienced Network and Server Engineer on behalf of our customer, an IT Solutions Provider, who focus on the Support, Security, Networking, Server, and Back-up arena.
Candidates wishing to apply for this position will be looking for a hands-on team player, with a sleeve's rolled up work ethic and an all hands to the pump type character. The successful candidate will be focusing on the Server and Networking, specifically on the designing, configuration, and build side of things, while being prepared to muck in across the board to ensure successful solutions delivery.
The successful candidate will have a solid Networking and Server background with technical expertise in as many of the following areas as possible:
- Cisco
- Microsoft Server
- VMware
- Hyper-V
- Juniper
- Palo Alto
- Telephony/VoIP
- Data Centres
- Azure
- Citrix
Candidates will be able to work remotely for most of the work; however, there will be times when resources will be required to be on the ground doing hands-on installations across various sites. These sites are typically within the M25, but as the client is rapidly expanding, there is a likelihood that this will stretch further beyond. All travel will be covered by the employer, and they do have several vans to be used too.
This will be a client-facing role, so candidates will need to have second to none communication skills (written and spoken) and be able to be put in front of customers.
Candidates will need to have a Full UK, clean driving licence to be considered for this position.
Salary: up to £60,000 DOE
Location: Remote/Sites across the UK
