We are currently seeking an experienced European Road Freight Export Operator to join a fast-paced and dynamic operations team. This role will focus on managing European export movements, building strong client and agent relationships, and ensuring the smooth, cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage European road freight export operations, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, European agents, partners, and suppliers.
- Plan and manage European groupage trailers.
- Monitor shipments in real time, proactively resolving any issues or delays.
- Provide complete and accurate manifests, loading lists, and delivery paperwork for transport and warehouse teams.
- Take ownership of customer complaints, investigating issues and delivering satisfactory resolutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist and provide cover within other areas of the operations team when required.
- Contribute to strategic planning to support long-term business objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date geographical knowledge to support effective transport planning.
- Demonstrate an understanding of profit and loss within operations.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in European road freight exports.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Customs knowledge preferred (full training can be provided).
- Experience with Belgian and Dutch markets highly desirable.
