Deep Sea Export Operator (NVOCC Export Consol)

Location: Harold Hill, Romford Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience) Job Type: Full Time | Permanent

Our client, a well-established and growing medium-sized freight forwarding company based in Harold Hill, Romford, is looking to recruit an experienced Deep Sea Export Operator to join their busy NVOCC Export Consol team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid export consolidation experience who is looking to join a stable business with a supportive working environment.

The Role

Working within the NVOCC Export Consol department, you will be responsible for managing deep sea export consolidation shipments from booking through to departure, ensuring a high level of customer service and operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling FCL/LCL deep sea export consolidation shipments.
  • Managing export bookings from receipt through to sailing.
  • Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents and customers.
  • Preparing and checking export documentation.
  • Creating and issuing Bills of Lading.
  • Completing customs and shipping documentation where required.
  • Coordinating cargo movements with transport providers and warehouses.
  • Monitoring vessel schedules and communicating updates to customers.
  • Ensuring shipments are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and overseas partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Deep Sea Export Operations within an NVOCC Export Consol environment.
  • Strong understanding of export consolidation procedures.
  • Experience dealing with shipping lines and overseas agents.
  • Good knowledge of export documentation.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a busy operational environment.
  • Proficient with freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office.
