A new opportunity has arisen for an Export Operator to join the Ocean Freight team within a well established Freight Forwarder. They are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced LCL Export Operator to join their busy department. Candidates will need to have prior knowledge of groupage consolidation, handling shipments from arrival in warehouse up until auditing files after sailing. As an organisation they cover all deep sea markets USA, Asia, India, Middle East, Oceania and South Africa so experience of any of these markets will be essential. Key focus areas:- Update PRC sailing schedule form correctly Check sailing schedules are uploaded correctly in Phoenix Make bookings with shipping line Book in container loading / haulage with warehouse Transfer cargo from outer warehouses to loading warehouse Submit provisional DGNs to shipping line Submit final DGNs to shipping line Submit VGM Associate UCRs to MUCR / Close MUCR Tell carrier the MUCR Load planning Submit load plan Finalize final load plan Submit MBL instructions Prepare / check container settlement Ensure pre alert docs sent in good time File Closing Monitor EMT dashboard on a daily basis Liaise with sales & customers to fill low volume containers Salary is competitive and according to experience In addition to salary they offer private health after 2 years service, an additional days holiday on either xmas eve or new years eve.
