Freight Forwarding company based in Chelmsford are looking to recruit an experienced Inside Sales Freight Executive. Salary: Β£neg + commission (Neg. based on experience) Job Description: To procure new clients through cold/warm calling, attending events, networking and online media. To build and maintain a working relationship, offer services and identify opportunities for the client to improve existing supply chain processes. The successful candidate will be ambitious, willing to learn and integrate with the client to obtain an in-depth knowledge of their unique processes and requirements working to apply them into bookings for the operation team. Candidate Requirements: * 3 + years industry specific sales experience to direct importers, existing inside/outside sales experience essential with proven track record of working to and exceeding targets. * Able to work well under pressure, must be confident talking on the phone and promoting themselves & the company, excellent customer service and telephone manner * Experience of MULTIFREIGHT computer software an advantage, good knowledge of office software such as word/excel/outlook/skype Job Role: * Search for and acquire new clients by phone/email/online media/meetings/attending events. * Quote clients and follow up in timely periods to secure bookings & feedback. * Handover bookings to the OPS team. * Maintain sales records for reporting and follow up. * Provide detailed client reports when bookings are secured and offer SOP. * Identify ways to help improve the clients existing supply chain. * Negotiate rates with agents, shipping lines, truckers + other suppliers to the company. * Work to set targets. * Organise, update and maintain rate tables. * Prepare monthly reports to detail sales activity. * Implement and maintain company CRM system. * Increase company digital + online presence by using company social accounts.
