Our client, a Freight Forwarder with offices based in Basildon, is looking for an experienced Inside Sales Freight Coordinator.

Successful Candidate:
- Ideally 1 – 2 years experience within Ocean Freight
- Would consider someone with operational background who has a commercial mindset/personality.
This is a busy and fast-paced department, who are the front end of the business. The role is highly varied, covering Import, Export, LCL and a little amount of FCL.

Location – Basildon, although flexible working applications will always be considered.
Duties for the role would include:
- Pricing Import and Export LCL quotes, and communications with clients, origin offices, agents, and vendors to achieve the ultimate goal – customer satisfaction.
- Follow up for quotes
- Load Plans – open daily and identify the containers loading in 48-72 hours and note the destinations.
- Secured bookings to be sent to the customer service team with all required information necessary.
- Ring “New Log In” accounts to identify potential business and qualify the account suitability for access.
- Minimum of 1 “sales” call per day. Call to be logged in company CRM, along with pipeline, sales lead and any relevant material.
- Assist Field sales with direct leads, possible client visits as/when required.
- Answer phone calls from clients and vendors daily, and promptly return calls for any messages left in voicemail.
- Ensure that all intent to claims are forwarded to the Claims Department within 24 hours.
