European Road Freight Operator – London Gateway Working on German Key Accounts. The role will be based at the London Gateway Logistics Park, in a new office complex with breakout room and parking facilities. Due to the location being able to drive is essential as they are not easily accessible by public transport. Job description Road Freight Operator * Working within a department of 15 people, part of a wider team of 47. * Handling European groupage services. * Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination, both international and national. * Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers. Skills required: * Must have a good understanding of European road freight, at least 2 years’ experience. * Capable of manually calculating costs and charges. * Understanding of taxable kilos. * Good customer service skills. * Experience with Customs paperwork. * Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
