Our client is an independent Logistics and Freight Forwarding company based in Liverpool. They are looking to increase their customs department due to company growth by taking on an additional Customs Entry Clerk.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years previous experience within the industry and have customs experience.
Candidates must also have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, be computer literate with a use of various systems including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Duties would include:
- Collating customs and shipping paperwork
- Using customs software to enter customs
- Advising customers on charges payable, arranging payment and release
- Handling clearances via any required mode of transport from start to finish
- Providing excellent customer service
- Ensuring customs compliance is maintained
