We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable and well-established freight forwarding company for an experienced Export Solutions Operator to join their night operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced export professional looking to join a successful business where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of nightly export, import and transport operations.
The Role
Working as part of the night operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating export and transport movements, managing trailer departures, preparing transport and customs documentation, supporting import releases and resolving any operational or customs issues that arise.
You will work closely with warehouse teams, network partners and other stakeholders to ensure shipments depart on time and all relevant customs and operational requirements are met.
About You
Previous export road freight experience is essential, along with a good understanding of UK customs procedures and international freight movements.
You will need to be highly organised, accurate and confident working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using transport management systems is required, while knowledge of ETSF/customs warehousing or ASM Sequoia would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate nightly export, import and transport operations.
- Prepare and process export and customs documentation.
- Manage trailer planning, departures and import releases.
- Investigate shipment discrepancies, damages and customs issues.
