Branch Manager – Removals & Relocation

Location: Aylesbury Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) Job Type: Full Time | Permanent

Our client, a well-established and respected business within the removals and relocation industry, is looking to recruit an experienced Branch Manager to lead their busy operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with strong operational and commercial skills who enjoys leading teams, driving performance and delivering exceptional customer service.

Whilst previous experience within the removals industry would be advantageous, candidates from other logistics, transport or operational management backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as full industry training will be provided.

The Role

As Branch Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, compliance and outstanding customer service.

You will lead and develop your team whilst working closely with senior management to achieve business objectives and maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop the branch team to achieve operational and commercial objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day branch operation, ensuring efficiency across removals, storage and warehouse activities.
  • Monitor branch performance and implement improvements to maximise productivity and profitability.
  • Recruit, train and manage staff, including performance reviews and ongoing development.
  • Work collaboratively with other branch managers, sharing best practice and supporting business-wide initiatives.
  • Coordinate local marketing activities alongside the marketing team.
  • Ensure the branch premises, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
  • Oversee fleet management, vehicle maintenance and legal compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, quality standards and company procedures.
  • Manage branch budgets, reporting and operational performance.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling escalated queries, complaints and first-stage claims professionally.
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities where required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Previous experience in Branch Management, Operations Management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive branch performance and profitability.
  • Proven people management experience, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop successful teams.
