We are a dynamic and growing freight forwarding company specializing in global logistics solutions. With a focus on customer service, compliance, and timely delivery, we are looking to expand our import operations team with a reliable and detail-oriented Air Import Clerk.

Job Summary:

As an Air Import Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import process for air freight shipments. You’ll ensure timely clearance and delivery of cargo, maintain compliance with customs regulations, and provide excellent service to our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process incoming air freight shipments
  • Prepare and review import documentation (AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.)
  • Submit entries
  • Liaise with airlines, customs brokers, transport companies, and internal departments
  • Track shipments and keep customers informed of status and any delays
  • Arrange final delivery and ensure POD (Proof of Delivery) is collected
  • Maintain accurate files and records in the system
  • Resolve issues related to customs clearance or transportation delays
  • Stay up-to-date with changing import regulations and company policies

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in air import operations within freight forwarding (1-2 years preferred)
  • Working knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
  • Familiarity with logistics software and freight systems (e.g., CargoWise, ASM, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
