Logistics People are looking for Line Leaders to join our team.
Location: Minworth, Integrated Packing Services (IPS)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 15:30
Pay rate:
- £13.41 P/hr - Line Leader Trainee (First 12 weeks)
- £14.41 P/hr - Line Leader Trained (Post 12 weeks)
The role will be to manage the day-to-day running of a high-performing, right-first-time, and cost-effective Production Line in line with the business methods, mission and vision. Ensuring a safety-first approach, ensuring the customer’s product specification is met and material integrity is maintained at all times.
As a Line Leader for Logistics People your role will consist of various duties including but not limited to:
- To adhere to and promote best practices in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations
- Ability to report H&S issues via internal platform
- Follow escalation process for H&S, Quality and production issues
- To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures
- To effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets
- Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
- To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis
- Effectively use the integrated management system (Vision) where applicable
- To ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external
- To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to
- To attend team leader meetings
- To assist in the training and development of new starters
- To act as a role model for best practice, adopting role model behaviours
- Monitor, control and minimise waste
- Play an active part in continuous improvement
- To participate in the company’s appraisal system
- Drive own personal development through training and work-based experience
- To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post

Additionally, you will be expected to step down to line operator when workload requires and support the Shift Supervisor, covering basic duties when busy or for holiday cover.
Qualifications:
- Key knowledge of H&S systems and practical approach
- QMS awareness and understanding of quality deliverables
- Basic financial understanding
- Targets driven
- Knowledge of line operation in the food/drinks industry (ideally)
- Key process and policy knowledge
- Maths and English accredited qualification
- MHE Trained (not essential)
