Key Responsibilities for a Security Engineer:
- Own the security testing cycle from commissioning external penetration tests through to remediation and closure
- Develop and maintain security hardening and patching baselines for supported systems
- Manage vulnerabilities across Linux-based environments and prioritise remediation activities
- Provide threat modelling, secure design input and security governance across the software lifecycle
- Contribute to CI/CD security controls, dependency management and SBOM processes
- Act as the security authority for customer assurance activities and security questionnaires
- Support platform lifecycle planning and security improvements across long-lived industrial systems
What We Are Looking For:
- Substantial hands-on experience in a product, infrastructure or platform security role
- Strong Linux security engineering experience including hardening, patch management and network security
- Experience remediating third-party penetration testing findings
- Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Nessus, Tenable or OpenVAS
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with legacy or long-lived systems
- Knowledge of secure software development and DevSecOps principles
