Are you an engineer with a passion for delivering complex automation projects? We are looking for a Project Design Engineer to join our Project Engineering team, supporting the delivery of innovative automation projects for high‑profile clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project layouts, specifications, and detailed designs from contract requirements
  • Produce general arrangement drawings and subsystem designs using AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Support the creation of design risk assessments and ensure compliance with EN standards and CE / UKCA requirements
  • Work closely with other engineering departments, project management, and procurement to deliver projects from design through to installation and handover
  • Attend client sites when required to support installation and resolve engineering issues
  • Produce a project technical file including drawings, specifications, BOMs, O&M documentation, and risk assessments

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification (Degree preferred, HNC minimum with relevant experience)
  • Background in automation, capital equipment, or large‑scale engineered systems
  • Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred)
  • International travel required on a limited basis
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
