Do you enjoy negotiating with suppliers, managing project procurement activities, and ensuring the right materials and services are delivered on time?
As a Project Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery through the procurement of goods, materials, and subcontract services.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Suppliers, and Site Teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and cost effectively.

What will you be doing as a Project Buyer?
- Issue enquiries, negotiate pricing and terms, and place orders for project-related goods, materials and subcontract services.
- Carry out commercial analysis of quotations and work with stakeholders to minimise risk.
- Manage supplier relationships and assessments.
- Expedite orders through to delivery and provide procurement updates to project teams.
- Record deliveries and maintain ERP records.
- Attend project progress meetings and report on purchasing activities.
- Investigate and resolve supply chain issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes.
What are we looking for?
- Experience within procurement, purchasing or supply chain roles.
- Capital equipment or project-based purchasing experience desirable.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to understand technical specifications and manufacturing drawings.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
