About Logiq: Logiq Consulting are Cyber Security and Information Assurance experts. Specialising in delivering leading edge consultancy to clients with high-risk business operations, along with a range of security services and products relied upon throughout the Private and Public Sector. Our existing programmes of work are expanding rapidly, and we have urgent requirements for a Principal or Senior Service Architect, to enable us to continue to deliver at an accelerated rate.

About You: We are seeking a highly capable Principal or Senior Service Architect to join the Service Architecture team within the company’s Architecture Practice. Logiq Consulting are a leading player in the design and implementation of complex high-assurance systems. We are looking for team members and leaders who share our vision that IT transformation is driven by business requirements, effective user experience, and a holistic view of security that can guide clients to delivery of capabilities which are inherently secure.

As a Service Architect working on critical Defence Digital programmes, you will be responsible for all aspects of service design, service catalogue maintenance and monitoring of service effectiveness. The role will engage with the development of service design from the conceptual design phase through to live delivery. Specifically, for the programme, you will:

  • Create and maintain the Service Roadmap, with clearly defined and articulated Transition State, ensuring service continuity throughout.
  • Collaborate closely with the Delivery Manager to monitor and improve service quality.
  • Build and maintain the programme’s Service Catalogue (for services which will be consumed across many Defence programmes).

The ideal candidate will be both experienced and invested in ensuring that our clients' solutions are effective and secure and will have the inter-personal skills needed to do this, e.g. ability to lead workshops, engage with business leaders, and drive the secure solutions required to meet complex and competing requirements. With your delivery experience you will be comfortable operating in a ‘customer friend’ type role, supporting clients understand, trade and optimise their solutions to deliver operational capabilities within their project constraints. You will also be comfortable enhancing customer relationships and identifying opportunities for growth and will have experience developing proposals and tender submissions in pursuit of new business opportunities.

Experience and Knowledge: Demonstrable experience of the following:

  • Managing end-to-end service design and implementation.
  • Experience working in Service Management roles, ideally with overall Service Accountability.
  • Practical experience in delivering a catalogue of service solutions, preferably in secure Government.
  • Familiarity with applicable standards and frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, JSP440, JSP604, JSP453.
  • Proven track record of developing services aligned to business strategy and ensuring manageability and maintainability.
  • Practical delivery and transition of complex IT services from design to live service.
  • Understanding of Service Integration and Management (SIAM) models and experience in implementing them in large organisations with MSPs.
  • Coordinating and managing trade-off based on stakeholder needs, project and resource constraints.
  • Supporting the project delivery management function with accurate and timely planning assumptions.
  • Abstracting complexity into project parameters for senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of core IT technologies and architecture frameworks, including but not limited to: Design and Delivery of complex application and service architectures.
  • The challenges of air-gapped / non-internet connected environments.
  • Knowledge of, and have worked with the Defence Digital architecture community.
  • Experience of delivering Identity services (e.g. Entra ID, NetIQ) at an enterprise level.
  • Experience of designing federated services and establishing service agreements / leading service level management.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF and Archimate.
  • Experience in MOD security policy, processes, and practices (inc Joint Service Publications 604, 440).

Essentials: Relevant education and qualifications in IT, Computer Science or Engineering.

Desirables: ITIL4 Managing Professional qualification. Chartered IT Professional (CITP), Chartered Engineer (CEng) or another industry recognised IT certification. Relevant certifications in architecture methodologies. Relevant certifications in agile delivery methodologies. Practical experience implementing NCSC guidance and best practice. Experience with using Service Management toolsets such as ServiceNow and Remedy.
