This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled Architecture Team who specialise in the design and implementation of complex secure systems. We are a fast-growing Small to Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) that offers a varied workload day-to-day, with long-term careers through multiple progression paths, and a culture that promotes both a social working environment and an accommodating work-life balance.

Logiq Consulting are Cyber Security and Information Assurance experts, specialising in delivering leading-edge consultancy to clients with high-risk business operations, along with a range of security services and products relied upon throughout the Private and Public Sector.

Our existing programmes of work are expanding rapidly, and we have urgent requirements for a Principal or Senior Service Architect, to enable us to continue to deliver at an accelerated rate.

Ideally, you will have current or recent experience leading the design and engineering delivery of complex IT transformation, either within Defence or Security organisations.

About You

We are seeking a highly capable Principal or Senior Service Architect to join the Service Architecture team within the company's Architecture Practice. Logiq Consulting are a leading player in the design and implementation of complex high-assurance systems. We are looking for team members and leaders who share our vision that IT transformation is driven by business requirements, effective user experience, and a holistic view of security that can guide clients to the delivery of capabilities which are inherently secure.

As a Service Architect working on critical Defence Digital programmes, you will be responsible for all aspects of service design, service catalogue maintenance, and monitoring of service effectiveness. The role will engage with the development of service design from the conceptual design phase through to live delivery. Specifically, for the programme, you will:

  • Create and maintain the Service Roadmap, with clearly defined and articulated Transition State, ensuring service continuity throughout.
  • Collaborate closely with the Delivery Manager to monitor and improve service quality.
  • Build and maintain the programme's Service Catalogue (for services which will be consumed across many Defence programmes).

The ideal candidate will be both experienced and invested in ensuring that our clients' solutions are effective and secure and will have the inter-personal skills needed to do this, e.g. ability to lead workshops, engage with business leaders, and drive the secure solutions required to meet complex and competing requirements. With your delivery experience, you will be comfortable operating in a 'customer friend' type role, supporting clients to understand, trade, and optimise their solutions to deliver operational capabilities within their project constraints.

You will also be comfortable enhancing customer relationships and identifying opportunities for growth and will have experience developing proposals and tender submissions in pursuit of new business opportunities.

  • Experience working in Service Management roles, ideally with overall Service Accountability.
  • Practical experience in delivering a catalogue of service solutions, preferably in secure Government.
  • Familiarity with applicable standards and frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, JSP440, JSP604, JSP453.
  • Proven track record of developing services aligned to business strategy and ensuring manageability and maintainability.
  • Practical delivery and transition of complex IT services from design to live service.
  • Understanding of Service Integration and Management (SIAM) models and experience in implementing them in large organisations with MSPs.
  • Coordinating and managing trade-offs based on stakeholder needs, project and resource constraints.
  • Supporting the project delivery management function with accurate and timely planning assumptions.
  • Abstracting complexity into project parameters for senior stakeholders.
  • Design and Delivery of complex application and service architectures.
