The Role:
We are seeking a highly capable Principal Security Consultant with a strong background in security architecture and risk management, who can translate technically complex security problems into clear, actionable advice for senior leaders, including CISOs and executive boards. This role sits within Logiq’s Security Practice and is focused on bridging the gap between technical security architecture and business decision making. You will take senior assurance and advisory roles across complex programmes, supporting organisations to design, deliver, and operate systems that are demonstrably Secure by Design. You will be comfortable operating in a ‘customer friend’ type role, supporting the client to develop and deliver secure systems, understanding risks and managing complex system security whilst communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to promote security as a business enabler will be a key strength. Our consultants are engaged across the delivery lifecycle, often working on parallel projects and workstreams, and take the lead on day‑to‑day client interface. You will also be comfortable enhancing customer relationships with new opportunities and assisting with bids and presales where necessary.
Your experience will include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to C‑suite and senior leaders.
- Simplifying security complexity and supporting them with informed decisions on risk, investment and architecture.
- Shaping security policies, principles and standards, and aligning enterprise transformation for efficient delivery.
- Leading the development of security architecture for complex IT requirements, ensuring smooth transition from concept to live service.
- Managing trade‑offs based on stakeholder needs and constraints while championing and driving transformation through a clear vision and architecture to lead the delivery journey.
- Enabling successful delivery by defining methods, team models, and technologies for the software or engineering lifecycle.
- Ensuring lifecycle traceability of stakeholder requirements, supporting project planning with accurate assumptions.
What We’re Looking for:
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or another industry recognised cyber security certification.
- Full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec).
- Chartered or Principal status via the UK Cyber Security Council for Secure Systems Architecture, or NCSC Certified Cyber Professional in Security Architecture.
- IEng or CEng registered with UK Engineering body, or Chartership through the British Computer Society.
