Logiq is a fast‑growing technology company delivering secure, modern platforms for high‑risk, mission‑critical environments across the private sector and UK Central Government. We are expanding our Security Architecture capability and seeking experienced Principal Security Architects who can shape, assure, and enable delivery of secure, cloud‑native services at scale.

You will be comfortable working across the full systems lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through delivery and transition to live, serving as a trusted “customer friend”. You’ll partner with engineering, product, and senior leadership to embed Secure by Design, de‑risk complex change, and simplify security for decision‑makers. A strong grasp of how contemporary cloud‑native services (containers, Kubernetes, microservices/serverless, identity, secrets, and zero trust patterns) are designed and implemented is essential to success in this role.

Our consultants lead parallel workstreams spanning security engineering and assurance, maintain day‑to‑day client engagement, and contribute to presales and bid activity when needed.

What you’ll do:

  • Secure product & platform delivery (cloud‑native focus)
  • Provide hands‑on cyber consultancy across digital product lifecycles, championing Secure by Design and privacy‑by‑default.
  • Conduct and iterate threat models for new features and integrations; translate findings into actionable design and control decisions.
  • Advise on secure architecture for modern platforms (segmentation, identity/access, encryption, data protection, secrets, and resilience).
  • Recommend and review controls for containerised and serverless workloads; guide teams on secure coding and code review practices.
  • Support incident response planning and playbook development; foster a culture of continuous assurance.

Your experience will include:

  • Leading the development of security architecture and design for complex IT requirements, ensuring smooth transition from design to live service.
  • Managing trade‑offs based on stakeholder needs and constraints while championing and driving transformation through a clear vision and architecture to lead the delivery journey.
  • Enabling delivery through the definition of methodologies, approach, team structure, and supporting technologies that enable successful transformation across an engineering lifecycle.
  • Shaping policies, principles and standards, aligning IT transformation to these in an organisational/enterprise context, in order to deliver efficiently.
  • Ensuring full lifecycle traceability of stakeholder requirements, supporting project planning with accurate assumptions, and simplifying complexity for senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF and Archimate or similar.

Employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance, which requires 5 years’ continuous UK address history at the point of application. Travel to client sites and Logiq offices will be required.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or another industry‑recognised cyber security certification.

Desirable:

  • Full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) — highly desirable.
  • Chartered or Principal status via the UK Cyber Security Council for Secure Systems Architecture.
  • NCSC Certified Cyber Professional (CCP) in Security Architecture.
  • IEng or CEng registered with a UK engineering body.
  • Chartership through BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
  • SABSA Chartered Security Architect.

Why Join Logiq:

  • Work on impactful programmes that modernise and secure critical services across diverse sectors, including Central Government.
  • Access tailored professional development pathways and support for certifications and accreditations.
  • Enjoy flexible working and a competitive benefits package.
