Logiq Consulting are Cyber Security and Information Assurance experts. We specialise in providing leading edge consultancy to high-risk clients and delivering a range of security services and products throughout the Private and Public Sector. Due to a rapid increase in clients within our Consultancy Division we have a requirement for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our expanding consultancy team.

You will be confident in your technical knowledge to make ‘good’ business decisions and be able to seek data and evidence to guide you whilst managing not only the clients' expectations, but also being able to influence and change programme directions if needed.

The Role: Joining our growing consultancy team, you will be the interface between internal and external clients and development teams to support the strategy, roadmap, and on-time delivery of the products that you are responsible for. The role is an opportunity to demonstrate Business Analyst and Technical Program skills. You will own and execute complex projects in parallel, keeping the high-level strategy in mind while focusing on details. The position requires working cross-functionally with senior leadership, as well as others overseeing other team leads from internal and external engineering, architecture, governance, commercial and technical teams.

The ideal candidate should enjoy being challenged, learning-by-doing, working as a team, using data to inform decisions, and have excellent leadership, communication and people skills. You're a great fit for this role if you are an experienced Senior Business Analyst, hold an analytic mindset, a strong communicator to technical and non-technical stakeholders and have strong knowledge of Agile practices. Ideally you will be capable of working independently or as part of a multi-disciplined team. You will be experienced and comfortable operating in a ‘customer friend’ type role, ideally within the Defence market, supporting the client to develop and deliver complex projects, understanding risks and managing stakeholders. You will be comfortable taking the lead on day-to-day client interface.

Within this role you will be expected to:

  • Engage with stakeholders to support the vision, and strategy for your products.
  • Create roadmaps that are aligned with the vision and strategy, with a clear focus on delivering increments of customer value, helping team members to understand the value to ensure delivery of products.
  • Develop powerful and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have the ability to understand and communicate complex technical and business concepts.
  • Be technically proficient and be able to discuss and consider technology solutions with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage business stakeholders to gather well-defined requirements in line with business objectives and manage expectations as well as gain sign off on deliverables.
  • Understand large organisations and influence a range of stakeholders to drive delivery.
  • Understand complex industry requirements and translate them into detailed product requirements.
  • Coordinate & manage output from technical delivery teams, translating business requirements into technical stories and vice versa.
  • Write user stories and work with Product Owners and Product Development teams to refine those until they are ready to be worked.
  • Organise Product Backlogs to streamline the delivery of priorities and plan releases.
  • Support or set appropriate project assurance, attending team meetings & ceremonies and running backlog refinement sessions.
  • Set sprint goals to maintain project momentum and inform delivery team of sprint requirements.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a Business Analyst role.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to navigate large organisations, develop powerful & productive relationships with the ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure programme delivery.
  • Working knowledge of Agile practices, with the ability to organise and work with cross-functional Agile delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of business processes, with a strong desire to continue to learn and develop as a project professional.
  • Superior problem solving with a high level attention to detail and troubleshooting skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement to manage issue resolutions.
  • Highly motivated, detailed individual with the proven ability to think creatively towards solving technical and structural problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Be collaborative & curious, you must be able to work with others to explore and develop new ways to test and learn.
  • You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others so we all become better.
  • You assume good intent in others, and actively do your part to make a positive work environment.

Knowledge:

  • Evidence of background, knowledge, and experience of delivering projects using Agile methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Agile Methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban and Lean.
  • Working on Agile projects at scale.
  • Tooling that supports Agile delivery (Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.).

Essential:

Desirable:

  • Ideally 2.1 Engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics degree or HND alternative.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (preferably Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner) or Certified Business Analyst.
  • Membership of an appropriate profession body such as Scrum Alliance or equivalent experience.
