Logiq is a fast-growing technology company, providing cutting-edge solutions to high-risk clients across the private and public sector. Due to rapid growth in our security capability, we are looking for experienced AI architects to join our team.

Location: Hybrid

Salary: Negotiable, plus car allowance, plus up to 10% performance bonus, plus excellent benefits package.

Travel Required: Travel expected to client or Logiq's offices in Bristol, Chippenham or Exeter.

As an AI Technical Architect, you will design and deliver production-grade AI-enabled and cloud-native systems across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. You will operate as a hands-on technical leader: turning ambiguous client needs into secure, scalable architectures, then building, deploying, and running what you design. This role suits someone who enjoys the full lifecycle: rapid prototyping, strong engineering fundamentals, infrastructure as code, and the operational discipline that comes with 'you build it, you run it.'

You will help set the technical patterns Logiq uses for AI delivery, platform engineering, observability, and secure by default cloud implementations, while leading small engineering teams and supporting clients through delivery and change. Expect variety: one week you may be shaping a reference architecture and delivery plan; the next you are implementing CI/CD, shipping a containerised service to AKS/EKS, hardening identity and network controls, and instrumenting logs/metrics/tracing so the system is supportable in the real world.

Logiq's Architecture Practice brings together highly experienced technologists and IT professionals with a passion for delivering complex solutions that drive tangible uplifts in capability for clients and their users. We specialise in enterprise and solution architecture, AI systems architecture, systems engineering, service management and DevOps, to build highly effective teams tailored to the problem space and requirements.

As part of the Secure Systems Team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop solutions for complex and unique operating environments.
  • Adapt leading edge technology solutions for novel and challenging use cases.
  • Build effective multi-discipline teams capable of delivering to the highest assurance levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Develop scalable, secure architectures for cloud and hybrid environments, translating business needs into actionable designs, incorporating security best practices from day one.
  • Hands On Delivery: Prototype, integrate, and deploy solutions using Python, Terraform, GitHub/GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes and other modern cloud native tools.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical delivery teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure quality across design and implementation.
  • System Hardening: Implement secure by design configurations across cloud and hybrid environments, applying hardened baselines, enforcing least privilege access, and ensuring environments are resilient against threats through proactive security controls, monitoring, and continuous optimisation.
  • Client Engagement: Build trusted relationships, gather requirements, and present solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation through proof of concepts, experimentation, and adoption of best practices.
  • Winning Work & Market Presence: Partner with other members of the Architecture Practice to win new engagements, leading technical bid responses, solutioning, and client facing workshops, while building Logiq's AI capability through IP development, case studies, and internal enablement.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, adapting to various roles within client projects. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your expertise or specialise further, with Logiq's support for your professional growth. Employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history at the point of application. Travel to client sites and Logiq offices will be required.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in solution architecture and hands on delivery across cloud environments.
  • Strong consulting and communication skills - comfortable engaging with clients and influencing decisions.
  • Shipped production systems on Azure, AWS or GCP with operational ownership (you build it, you run it).
  • IaC expertise (Terraform preferred) + CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) + container platforms (AKS/EKS).
  • Understanding of security principles for cloud and enterprise systems, including the ability to design solutions with identity, logging and alerting, access control and data protection in mind.
  • A passion for learning and experimenting with emerging technologies and sharing this knowledge with others.
  • Experience with data engineering and pipelines, including ETL processes and working with both traditional relational databases and modern vector databases.
  • An understanding of Site Reliability Engineering best practices and Platforms / DevOps best practices.
  • Exposure to AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, and agent based systems (or a strong desire to learn).
  • Experience previously working with central government and an understanding of government ways of working.

Why Join Logiq

  • Work on impactful projects that drive efficiency and innovation across diverse sectors.
  • Access professional development pathways tailored to your career ambitions.
  • Enjoy flexible working arrangements and a competitive benefits package.
