Based in the English Riviera, we have two extremely interesting opportunities one more focused on Digital Highspeed design and one with a background in Digital Hardware with good planning experience to take on a Technical Lead role. Both people will join an established startup company to develop technologies for a sustainable future through ML and Datacentre technologies.

The two Engineers will have a strong background in Hardware Design, particularly High Speed Digital of up to 100Gbps. The Lead Engineer will have a similar background but with excellent planning and Leadership skills. There is a lot to share, so please do apply if either are of interest so I can share key responsibilities for both roles.

The successful candidates will have a good relevant degree, along with a strong technical background in the below:

  • Extensive hand on industry experience of High Speed Digital Design for network applications at 100Gbps and above
  • Experience in hardware integration, preferably within RF/photonics/optics systems
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, signal processing and efficient power supplies
  • Knowledge of EMC implications of hard speed transmission
  • Scripting and automation, such as TCL and Python
  • Knowledge of thermal and mechanical considerations in hardware design
  • Experience using PCIe, CXL, RDMA, DDR4, bare metal use of high-speed transceivers, Ethernet, IP
  • Experience of FPGA/VHDL or Verilog would be an advantage
