Based close to Reading, working for an established award-winning company in a specialist field, the Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for design implementation from concept through to production, involving embedded hardware development, DC motors and stepper motors, EMC, along with similar technologies, including C/C++.
Responsibilities will include:
- Development of automation hardware, utilising robotics, motors, microcontrollers, and pneumatics
- PCB Design (Altium preferred)
- Rapid prototyping throughout the entire process
If you are interested in project leadership, then there is scope for this, but this is very much a hands-on role.
The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree in Electronics, Physics or equivalent, along with:
- Embedded microprocessor experience, including Ethernet, USB, DC and stepper motor control
- PCB Design with Altium
- Experience of robotics, automation, and control
- Knowledge of Low Voltage Directive, Radio Equipment Directive, and EMC
- Proficiency in C/C++
