Based in Sheffield, the Senior Product Engineer, who will have potential to grow to Product Engineering Team Leader, will be joining an award-winning Semiconductor start-up company focusing on infrared sensor Semiconductor Technologies.

The successful application will join their operations team as they ramp up production on their existing product, whilst developing a second product range for LIDAR greenhouse gas sensing systems. Key responsibilities will include driving and executing on all NPI related activities for manufacturability such as yield, COGS and test coverage. Along with enabling decisions on the development of sourcing technologies required for new products such as assembly, test and burn-in solutions. Additionally, volume roadmaps, analyzing yield activities and driving the resolution of failure analysis, root cause and corrective actions for Fifield returns.

The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree with a proven background working as a Semiconductor Product Engineer. Additionally:

  • Direct experience / track record of bringing Semiconductor products through the NPI development process from definition to product release
  • Ability to travel to Europe/Far East to meet with suppliers
  • Experience in required responsibilities as above.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restriction.
