Senior Power Supply Design Engineer β HV
Based in Hampshire, the Senior Power Supply Design Engineer will be joining a global organisation with locations throughout the UK and World to develop and support DC/DC and AC/DC converters. Key responsibilities include leading the design, development and testing of DC/DC and AC/DC converters, whilst staying informed on current trends and emerging design insights, design analysis, test/verification and EMC, resolution of design issues and safety assessment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and testing of DC/DC and AC/DC converters.
- Stay informed on current trends and emerging design insights.
- Perform design analysis.
- Execute test/verification and EMC compliance.
- Resolve design issues.
- Conduct safety assessment.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or HND in Electronics or related, along with around 5 years plus experience in power conversion, analogue electronics and power supply technologies.
- Knowledge of modern conversion design techniques applicable to DC/DC and AC/DC up to 10KW.
- Ability to work on projects with tough product cost targets.
- Experience with simulation software for electronics design.
- Familiarity with mechanical design of converters relating to manufacturability, EMI and thermal constraints.
