Based in London the Optical Lab Technician will be joining an exciting new start up. This position is Hybrid and will focus on the development of disruptive technologies for HPC, AI / ML Technologies.
The Lab Technician will be responsible for lab based work focused on electronics, optics/photonics, networks, systems and Software. Key responsibilities will include: Lab Facilities management; Health and Safety; PAT Testing; RF and Optical Test and Measurement (Control / Automation of), ESD/EMC; Assembly/soldering; COSH.
The successful candidate should hold a good relevant degree or 5 years experience working with in a lab. Please note this role isn\’t open to fresh Graduates, unless PhD qualified. Additional experience requirement include:
• Competent in handling optical fibres and optoelectronic Devices
• Advanced Semiconductor / Optical Test and measurement
• PCB Design
• Assembly / Soldering
• Python/C/Matlab Programming with Linux as beneficial.
The salary on offer is £40k – £60k, along with share options and private medical.
