Ready to make a difference right at the very beginning? We’re working with welcoming and inclusive nurseries in Redbridge who are looking for Qualified Nursery Nurses to support their youngest learners. This is a hands-on, heart-first role where you’ll help shape those all-important early experiences. You’ll be creating a safe, playful, and nurturing environment where children can explore, build confidence, and take their first steps into learning. If you love getting stuck into messy play, storytelling, and those small but mighty “lightbulb” moments, you’ll feel right at home here.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting babies and young children with daily routines, care, and learning activities
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment that encourages curiosity and development
  • Delivering and supporting play-based learning in line with EYFS
  • Helping children develop early communication, social, and motor skills
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and parents
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviour

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified in Childcare to Level 3 CACHE (or equivalent Early Years qualification) (essential due to nursery ratios)
  • Passionate about early years development and making a real impact
  • Naturally nurturing, patient, and full of positive energy
  • Confident working as part of a team in a busy nursery environment
  • Proactive, reliable, and ready to get involved in all aspects of nursery life
  • A strong communicator who builds warm, supportive relationships

Bonus points if you’re Thrive trained, it’s a great way to support children’s emotional development and really stand out to schools. If you’re not yet trained, we can help you access this for free through Protocol.

Why work with Protocol Education? We keep things simple. Honest conversations, clear communication, and nurseries that genuinely match what you’re looking for. You’ll get:

  • Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies
  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy
  • Personalised support from a dedicated consultant
  • Opportunities across nurseries, mainstream, and SEND settings
  • Streamlined registration and local placements
  • A referral scheme that genuinely rewards you

Ready to take the next step? Email your CV to and let’s find the right setting for you. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
