Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming SEND primary school in Haywards Heath that is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Mentors to support primary-aged pupils with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing educational environment. The pupils you will be supporting may have a range of needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Learning Difficulties
- Social, Emotional and Behavioural Needs
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' academic progress, emotional wellbeing and personal development. You will work closely with teaching staff to help create a positive and engaging learning experience for every child.
The Role:
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support
- Encouraging engagement and participation in learning activities
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Building strong, trusting relationships with children
- Promoting confidence, independence and social development
- Assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning both inside and outside the classroom

Requirements:
