GSL Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Dudley. The Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Assist in adapting learning materials and classroom tasks.
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements of SEN TA:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
  • Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
