We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Site Supervisor to join our friendly primary school. This role is vital in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards across the school premises and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the site.
Location: Burnley
Start Date: 1st August 2026
Contract: Part-Time (Specify) – split hours over the morning and evening.
Salary: £14.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the security of the school site, including opening and locking up
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
- Oversee and maintain cleanliness and health & safety standards across the premises
- Conduct routine site checks, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Manage contractors and support external service providers when on-site
- Maintain school grounds, including basic gardening duties where required
- Respond promptly to any site-related issues
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in site management, caretaking, or maintenance (school setting desirable)
- Possess good handyman / DIY skills
- Have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to work
- Have good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
