Workforce are currently working with a growing and well-established manufacturing business in Birmingham who are looking to strengthen their fabrication team with the addition of an experienced Fabricator / TIG & MIG Welder. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a long-term, stable role on a day shift, working on a variety of fabrication and welding projects across standard production and bespoke work.

The Role

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of components while maintaining excellent quality standards. Duties will include:

  • TIG & MIG welding to a high standard
  • Fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
  • Working with material thicknesses from 1mm–10mm
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Positioning, aligning and fitting fabricated components
  • Grinding, sanding and finishing completed work
  • Inspecting completed welds and assemblies
  • Operating workshop machinery where required
  • Supporting production targets and maintaining quality standards
  • Reporting drawing discrepancies and continuous improvements

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous Fabrication & Welding experience
  • Strong TIG welding ability
  • Ability to work independently from engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good workshop and manufacturing knowledge

Desirable:

  • Aluminium welding experience
  • MIG welding experience
  • Previous coded welding approvals
  • Forklift licence

Hours of Work

Day Shift Monday – Thursday: Standard day shifts. Friday: Potential early finish depending on workload.
