Solutions Consultant- Data in London

Following a series of acquisitions within our financial customer's technology group, they are now integrating the two platforms into a single unified solution. While the technical API and SSO work is handled elsewhere, this role owns the business process layer — ensuring that financial data flows cleanly through the integration and that reconciliation processes surface exceptions accurately and reliably.

We are looking for a Solution Consultant to join our Professional Services team in a high-impact, client-facing contractor role.

Location: United Kingdom (Remote-first / Hybrid with client travel as required).

Type: Initial 6-month contract with potential extension.

Focus: End-to-end client implementation—from discovery through to go-live and stabilization.

What You'll Be Doing

• You will be responsible for leading or supporting the full-lifecycle implementation of our platform for enterprise clients across the UK and Europe.
• Implementation Delivery: Translating client business requirements into configured, scalable automation workflows.
• Data Engineering: Analyzing, cleaning, and mapping complex client financial datasets for reconciliation logic.
• Workflow Design: Building validation checks, exception handling, and transformation workflows.
• Client Engagement: Facilitating client workshops and solution walkthroughs to ensure customer confidence.
• Documentation: Clearly documenting assumptions, solution logic, and control steps to ensure technical accuracy and reproducibility.

What You Bring

This role requires a unique blend of technical discipline and the professional credibility to work directly with enterprise stakeholders.

• Core Technical Skills:

• Strong SQL: Proficiency in joins, filtering, aggregation, and transformation.
• Advanced Excel: Mastery of lookups, pivots, and structured formula logic.
• Data Wrangling: The ability to interpret, clean, and restructure "messy" financial datasets.
• Analytical Mindset: A deep understanding of reconciliation logic and exception-based thinking.

Professional Background:

• Proven background in technical consulting, implementation, or solutions engineering.
• Experience working directly with enterprise-level clients.
• Strong workshop facilitation skills and a disciplined approach to documentation.
• An ownership mentality—taking responsibility for workstreams and proactively flagging blockers.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to treasury, accounting, or finance operations.
• Familiarity with bank statement formats (e.g., BAI, MT940).
• Python scripting capability or API/integration exposure.
• Experience in regulated environments (banking, insurance, or fintech).
