A Liverpool-based construction and maintenance contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious AQS looking to develop their career within a supportive, family-owned business delivering a varied range of projects across the public sector, education, healthcare, and transport sectors. The company delivers projects valued up to £5m across new build, refurbishment, maintenance, façade remediation, and fire compliance works. Typical projects include NHS refurbishments and upgrade works, university and education facility improvements, smaller new build schemes, public sector refurbishment projects, and rail upgrade works.
The role offers excellent exposure to a broad mix of projects, providing the opportunity to work closely with experienced commercial professionals within a genuinely supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
- Support the commercial team across multiple projects, assisting with:
- Cost reporting and budget tracking
- Subcontractor procurement and management
- Valuations and variations
- Preparing applications and final accounts
- Commercial administration and reporting
Requirements
- Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a commercial environment
- Full UK driving licence preferred
