Overview: Tank Plater — Rotherham, with travel to sites. Permanent, full-time. Competitive salary plus benefits.

Logical Personnel Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a market leading Engineering company and are looking to grow their internal staff with x2 Tank Platers. They will undertake all duties associated with that of a Plater/Welder, operating out of the Company's facility in Rotherham, supporting the delivery of services to customers and specific projects. The Tank Plater will use technical skills and knowledge to meet client demand and deliver solutions to a high standard.

  • Safety - HSE conformance
  • Quality - To BS EN ISO 9001 standard
  • Procurement - In line with company processes
  • Weld SME - To customer specification (ASME IX / BS EN / CE)
  • Fabrication & Assembly SME - To customer specification
  • Documentation - To BS EN ISO 9001 standard
  • Production - In line with project programming and customer expectations
  • Testing - To all assigned standards
  • Equipment management - PUWER & user conformance
  • Weld coding management - To ASME IX & BS EN
  • Coded welder - Adherence to all HSE hot work safety systems
  • Read and understand technical design drawings and specifications
  • Product mechanical assembly to drawing specifications
  • Safe use of welding, power, and hand equipment (including grinders)
  • Knowledge of API & EEMUA standards
  • Adherence to, control of, and completion of fabrication documentation to CE standard

About you:

  • Ability to weld to WPS standards
  • Use of various LOLER equipment (cranes / forklifts)
  • Established safety behaviours - PPE and safe working practices
  • Ability to work independently and lead team members
  • Experience working to exacting deadlines and quality standards
  • Planning and programming skills, ensuring effective use of manpower, time, and competencies
  • Industry-specific knowledge and experience
  • Experience working on storage tanks to API & EEMUA standards
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Competent in English and Maths
  • Competent in IT system use
  • Proven experience in tank construction, fabrication, and assembly
