Health & Safety Advisor in Stockport

Health & Safety Advisor Location: Manchester/Stockport Salary: £50,000 We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a strong groundworks and civil engineering business, supporting health and safety across a range of live projects. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is comfortable working closely with site teams and visiting projects regularly. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of health and safety, ensuring projects remain compliant and that best practice is followed across the business. The Role • Carrying out regular site inspections and health & safety audits • Supporting site teams with health & safety requirements and best practice • Identifying risks and ensuring appropriate control measures are in place • Assisting with RAMS, toolbox talks and site documentation • Investigating incidents and supporting corrective actions where required • Monitoring compliance with company policies and current legislation • Providing practical health & safety advice across live groundworks and civil engineering projects About You • Previous experience in a groundworks, drainage or civil engineering environment • Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent • Confident carrying out site inspections and working with site teams • Good understanding of RAMS, risk assessments and construction legislation • United Utilities / water sector experience would be highly beneficial • Full UK driving licence If you’re interested in this opportunity, please apply with a copy of your CV or get in touch with our Commercial Specialist, Jane Fairhurst
