A well-established, award-winning, family-owned contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of social housing maintenance contracts across Merseyside and the North West.

With a strong reputation for customer service and long-term partnerships, the business delivers responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance and refurbishment works for housing associations and local authorities throughout the region. Responsive repairs and maintenance remain a key part of the company's service offering within the social housing sector.

The Role

Working closely with the Senior Commercial team, you will be responsible for the commercial management of reactive maintenance and planned works contracts, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
  • Valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Variations management
  • Commercial support on responsive repairs and planned maintenance contracts
  • Reviewing KPIs and contract performance
  • Working closely with operational teams and clients
  • Assisting with monthly CVRs

Requirements

  • Experience within social housing, maintenance, repairs, planned works or refurbishment contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Full UK driving licence
