HR & Administration Supervisor South Manchester £40,000 to £45,000

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of the HR and administration function within a strong construction business?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of HR and administration processes.

Working closely with senior management, you'll oversee recruitment, onboarding, HR systems and office administration, ensuring everything runs efficiently.

The Role

  • Managing the day-to-day HR and administration function.
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies to source candidates across the business.
  • Preparing job descriptions and job adverts for new vacancies.
  • Coordinating the recruitment process, including arranging interviews and providing candidate feedback.
  • Preparing offer letters, contracts of employment and new starter documentation.
  • Managing the onboarding process and ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed.
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Monitoring absence, holidays and other HR records.
  • Supporting managers with HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to HR and administrative processes.
  • The Person
  • Previous experience in a HR Lead, HR Officer, Senior HR Administrator or HR Generalist role.
  • Construction industry experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding and HR administration.
  • Experience using both Cascade HR and Sage 50 HR.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Organised with excellent communication and administrative skills.
