The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance business operating across the North West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced HGV & Trailer Technicians to join their workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable employer offering stable, long-term employment, modern facilities, and opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
  • Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual testing requirements.
  • Complete all job cards and maintenance records accurately.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Previous experience working on HGVs and trailers.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
