Operations Director | Civils & Groundworks | Manchester | £100k+ A senior opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Director to join a well-established Manchester-based civils and groundworks contractor. This is a key appointment within the business, offering genuine influence at Director level and the opportunity to shape the operational performance and future direction of the company. The business has an established position within the civils and groundworks market, a strong pipeline of work and a solid client base. The successful candidate will have significant autonomy and work closely with the Directors on the continued development of the business. Key areas of responsibility: • Overall operational leadership across the business • Leadership of the operational and project delivery teams • Oversight of a portfolio of civils and groundworks projects across the North West • Driving operational performance, delivery standards and profitability • Working closely with the commercial team to maximise project performance and margins • Resource planning across the project portfolio, ensuring the right teams and management structure are in place • Senior involvement in major projects, key client relationships and strategic decisions • Developing operational processes and improving efficiency across the business • Providing senior input into tenders, project opportunities and future workload • Working closely with the Directors on business strategy, growth and investment decisions • Maintaining strong relationships with key clients and supporting repeat business • Taking a hands-on role in developing the next level of operational leadership within the company Apply If you’re interested in this opportunity, please apply with a copy of your CV or get in touch with our Commercial Specialist, Jane Fairhurst
