A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to join a flagship high-rise development in Manchester. This is a key role overseeing all mechanical and electrical packages on a major city-centre scheme, working closely with site teams and specialist subcontractors.
This opportunity is open to permanent candidates or long-term freelance professionals with strong high-rise or complex building experience.
The Role
- Take full responsibility for the MEP delivery on a large high-rise building
- Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors across multiple packages
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and handover processes
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Design Team, and Commercial Team
- Attend progress meetings and report on MEP performance
- Ensure compliance with current building regulations and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MEP Manager on high-rise or large commercial/residential projects
- Strong background managing mechanical and electrical subcontractors
- Good understanding of commissioning and handover processes
- Ability to drive programme and resolve technical issues on site
- SMSTS and relevant H&S qualifications preferred
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
