Van Technician / Vehicle Technician
Location: Birmingham (Central) Salary: £18.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week Working Hours: 10-hour shifts between 06:00 and 18:30
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Van Technician to join a busy workshop in Central Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to work within a professional environment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on light commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Performing vehicle inspections and identifying defects.
- Completing repairs to manufacturer and company standards.
- Carrying out MOT preparation and MOT testing (where qualified).
- Ensuring all workshop paperwork is completed accurately.
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Van Technician or Service Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- MOT Tester qualification preferred but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
