LOGICALPS are one of the UK's leading labour providers to the construction and nuclear sectors. On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a plant inspector for long term/ongoing work on a major project in Leiston.
Duties include:
- To provide inspection services across a range of plant equipment and lifting accessories. Ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 through inspections, reporting and record management.
- Support and provide advice to the maintenance and delivery teams.
- To ensure all records are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.
- To ensure no equipment expires its statutory inspection time on site.
- All discovered defects are recorded and reported immediately to the relevant persons.
- All reports of inspections are passed to the maintenance team within a period not exceeding seven days.
Pay Details: Fully PAYE 50-80 HOUR weeks – 12 on and 2 off rotation – 12 hour shifts usual Basic £19.10 1.5x £28.65 2x £38.20 Lodge paid per shift worked Est Gross 5 days - £1313 inc lodge Est Gross 7 days - £2589 inc Lodge
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Plant Maintenance or equivalent/NVQ Level 2 or above in Plant Operations – Cranes and Specialist Lifting or equivalent.
- Engineering or maintenance qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) desirable.
- CITB Plant Inspection training and experience with general plant equipment and MEWPs desirable.
- IOSH
- IPAF desirable
