On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician for long-term/ongoing work on a major project in Leiston, Suffolk.
Duties Include
To provide electrical maintenance, inspection, testing, and fault-finding services across a range of site plant, temporary installations, and facilities.
Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations, site procedures, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on site plant and equipment.
- Conduct inspection, testing, and certification of electrical systems where required.
- Support site operations and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
- Accurately complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and associated documentation.
- Identify defects and report any safety concerns immediately to the relevant personnel.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical systems and equipment.
Pay Details
- Fully PAYE
- 50–80 hour weeks available
- 12 on, 2 off rotation
- 12-hour shifts typical
- Basic: £24.14 per hour 1.5x Overtime: £36.21 per hour 2x Overtime: £48.28 per hour
- Lodge paid per shift worked
Estimated Gross Earnings
- 5 Days: £1,593 including lodge
- 7 Days: £3178 including lodge
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance, or equivalent.
- ECS Gold Card or equivalent industry-recognised qualification.
- Experience in industrial, construction, infrastructure, or heavy engineering environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of electrical safety procedures and safe systems of work.
Desirable
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Inspection & Testing Qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- IPAF.
- PASMA.
- Previous experience on major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, or construction projects.
