The Opportunity:
Our client is a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance business operating across the North West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced HGV & Trailer Technicians to join their workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable employer offering stable, long-term employment, modern facilities, and opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
- Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual testing requirements.
- Complete all job cards and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company and industry standards.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Previous experience working on HGVs and trailers.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- LGV/HGV Licence.
- IRTEC accreditation.
- Experience with a variety of commercial vehicle manufacturers.
