Our client, a well-established international logistics provider, is looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Modal Freight Operator to join their growing Cardiff operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with experience across air, ocean and road freight to join a dynamic business that offers long-term career progression within a fast-paced international environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating and managing freight movements across multiple transport modes, ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently while maintaining excellent levels of customer service. Working as part of an established team of 12 employees, including 8 freight specialists and 4 warehouse staff, you will play a key role in supporting customers and overseeing shipments from origin through to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate air, ocean and road freight shipments.
- Arrange bookings with carriers and transport providers.
- Monitor shipments and resolve any operational issues.
- Prepare shipping and customs documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Support cross-trade freight movements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
